Erindi’s Facebook Fans will be quite familiar with Tim’s photos and stories appearing every week.
Timmy “Nighthawk” Smith is “Zimauswean” – this means that he was born in Zimbabwe and he grew up in Australia!
“As a guide at Erindi, I love trying to get guests to see every possible animal they want to see.
I love to show guests animal interactions, much more exciting than seeing a lion sleeping – try lions roaring, mating or hunting for example!!”
Guide Profile: Jesse Barley

Jesse Barley began at Erindi Private Game Reserve in January 2010. He is FGASA LEVEL 1 guide having qualified for his RANGER DIPLOMA with EcoTraining in South Africa.
Prior to his guiding career, Jesse studied at Juanita College in Pennsylvania USA and he worked in Construction.
Jesse enjoys cataloguing animal behaviour with his video camera and he has contributed a great deal to the Erindi Library. Jesse is a qualified TELEMETRY TRACKER working on completing ERINDI LEVEL 1.

Henco Bantjes grew up in Bloemfontein in the Orange Freestate of South Africa. He studied in an area of South Africa known as the “Lowveld” where he completed the EcoTraining course affiliated with FGASA. He has been working at Erindi since July 2009 as a guide and he is currently working towards completing his LEVEL 2.
